Phantom Squid Records – Return Policy

Thank you for supporting Phantom Squid Records! We want you to be satisfied with your purchase. Due to the nature of vinyl records and small businesses, we have a specific return policy. Please review it carefully before placing your order.

Eligibility for Returns

We only accept returns for records that are unplayable. A record is considered unplayable if it skips repeatedly, is locked in a groove, or has significant pressing defects that prevent proper playback.

Returns Are Not Accepted for:

  • Cosmetic Imperfections: Minor flaws such as warps, seam splits, corner dents, or other packaging defects are common in the vinyl industry and do not qualify for returns. We take great care in shipping, but slight imperfections may occur.

  • Minor Warping: Slight warps that do not affect playback are not considered defects. A return will only be accepted if warping causes skipping or looping.

  • Buyer’s Remorse: We do not accept returns for changes of mind or if you decide you no longer want the record.

Return Process

  1. Contact Us: If you believe your record is unplayable, email us at contact@phantomsquid.com within 7 days of receiving your order. Please include your order number, a description of the issue, and, if possible, a short video demonstrating the problem.

  2. Evaluation: We will review your request and may ask for additional details.

  3. Return Authorization: If we determine the record is likely defective, we will issue a Return Authorization (RA) number along with return instructions. Do not return a record without an RA number.

  4. Return Shipping: You are responsible for return shipping costs. We strongly recommend using a trackable shipping method and secure packaging, as we cannot be held responsible for lost or damaged returns.

  5. Refund or Replacement: Upon receiving and verifying that the record is unplayable, we will either issue a full refund to your original payment method or provide a replacement copy (if available), at our discretion.

Important Notes

  • We are a small, two-person business, and processing returns takes time and resources. We appreciate your understanding.

  • Every record is carefully inspected before shipping.

  • By placing an order with Phantom Squid Records, you acknowledge and agree to this return policy.
